Hands On Training, LLC tailors tactical and emergency medical training and exercises for law enforcement, security professionals, fire medics and EMS personnel who often or occasionally work in high threat environments. Our specialty is in hands on training, skills and drills, as well as producing high-fidelity scenarios for the multidiscipline response to active shooter type situations. We work with multidiscipline professionals to ensure a coordinated response to acts of violence. Our educators and trainers are experienced medical professionals, law enforcement, military personnel and are some of the finest educators in the world. Our educational philosophy is less about PowerPoint’s and lecture, and more focused on proper demonstration and proficiency skills development of the students. We use small group scenarios with an increasing level of complexity and sophistication as time allows.

In addition to tactical and emergency medical training, hands-on training LLC provides consulting services and advice on all things medical and tactical. We also have specially trained medical personnel that are available to deploy both locally, nationally and internationally.

This guide is for SWAT medics, independent medical operators, military medics and others who are responsible for the care of individuals in potentially hostile, dangerous, remote and low resource environments; often with limited equipment and for extended time frames.

This guide not only covers the "typical" SWAT mission medical concerns and contingencies in the urban and suburban environment, but it also includes sections on extended deployments, mountain/rural issues, team health, hygiene, nutrition, common/routine medical conditions, environmental medicine, rescue, evacuation, communication, equipment, and a host of other useful topics. This guide is meant to be an on-scene asset, as well as a resource guide and teaching tool.

Tactical Medics and those that provide medical care in hostile environments need specialized training, equipment and protocols that allow them to function at the highest level possible while being safely protected from injury. This guide is not a substitute for training, but is a supplement to the quality tactical medical education programs that exist today.
